Approved suppliers

A number of suppliers have already successfully completed the audit process to enable them to use the PGI to market West Country beef and lamb. They have demonstrated their products fulfilled the correct criteria for them to bear the West Country Beef or Lamb mark. To qualify, beef and lamb from the region must meet specific criteria, such as being at least 70 per cent forage fed and coming from stock born, raised and finished in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Dorset or Wiltshire.

If you are a processor or supplier and are keen to make use of the differentiation created by the PGIs for West Country Beef and West Country Lamb, simply contact one of the inspection bodies listed on this website and arrange for a visit to your premises to verify your application to become an approved supplier.
